Washington University, Sam Fox School of Design

OWH performed full design services for the renovation of the School of Architecture and School of Art, the first phase of the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts. In conjunction with these two buildings, new “links” to Steinberg were created, thereby achieving full handicapped accessibility for all three buildings. Givens and Bixby are vintage examples of classical, 1930’s academic architecture and the renovation included replacement windows, all new systems for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and telecommunications. The major studio spaces were reconfigured and expanded for the continued growth of the art and architecture programs.
