Blackburn Park

The 42-acre site of Blackburn Park serves the City of Webster Groves as a community resource and neighborhood park. A significant portion of facilities were worn out and past their useful life. In addition, the park contained valuable mature vegetation, rock outcrops, an active spring and a host of active and passive recreation facilities. The implementation plan was developed using a planning process which relied on considerable public input and included renovation of an existing historic pavilion and new comfort stations and pavilions that retained the historical character of the Park. Renovation was undertaken for the tennis court, playground and sports fields.
