UMSL Marillac Hall Classroom Addition & Renovation

Marillac Hall houses the School of Optometry at University of Missouri – St. Louis. The project created an addition of 8,400 sf on the lower level to house three expanded classrooms and a new student lounge. The existing two classrooms had tiered seating for approximately 45 students each. This project increased seating in each room to 60 seats by eliminating the tiers and expanding each classroom to the south. The third classroom was added by renovating the existing student lounge space and relocating the lounge to the existing convenience mart. A new corridor was created outside of the existing building and provides informal seating between the classrooms and the new exterior wall.
